Formula & methodology
worthNow = (1000/price_then)×price_now. Growth = (price_now−price_then)/price_then. Historical points come from CoinGecko /history. Live marks come from /simple/price with ~60s revalidation.
Check the crypto price on a past date
People search “bitcoin price on [date]” for accounting, content, and curiosity. This checker adds a $1,000 then-to-now vignette so you see both the old price and what that buy would be worth today.
Outputs use monospace formatting and a mobile-first layout so you can check a date while another chart is open. If a day is missing (weekends for some assets, or API throttling), try an adjacent date.
