Rule of thumb: ≥0.5% off peg flagged as depegged. Adjust for your risk.

How to use Stablecoin Peg Checker

Enter the stablecoin market price (and target peg, usually 1.00). Read premium/discount versus peg.

Example: a stablecoin trading at $0.9985

A stablecoin is quoted at $0.9985 against a $1 peg.

  1. Difference = 0.9985 − 1 = -0.0015
  2. Deviation = -0.0015 ÷ 1 × 100 = −0.15%

The coin is 0.15% below its peg. The tool flags a depeg at 0.5% or more, so this is within normal noise; a drop to $0.98 would be −2.00%.

Formula & methodology

deviation% = (price − peg) / peg × 100.

Check stablecoin peg before you size transfers

Brief noise is common; sticky discounts can matter for large USDT/USDC moves and LP assumptions that treat stables as $1.

Local P2P premiums vs mid-market are a different question — use the P2P premium tool for PKR/INR corridors.

Frequently asked questions

What is a stablecoin peg check?+

It compares a stablecoin’s market price to its target (often $1) so you can see premium or discount versus peg.

Is a brief depeg always a crisis?+

Not always — noise happens. Persistent discounts or premiums can signal liquidity or redemption stress. Size risk accordingly.

How does this relate to P2P premiums?+

Peg is vs USD parity; P2P premium is local fiat vs mid-market crypto. Both can stack on USDT/PKR or USDT/INR corridors.
