LTV (loan-to-value)

The ratio of borrowed value to collateral value. Higher LTV means less buffer before liquidation risk rises.

In crypto lending, LTV = debt / collateral (mark-to-market). Protocols set max LTV and liquidation thresholds that can differ from your entry LTV after price moves.

Model LTV before you borrow, then re-check when collateral is volatile. Pair LTV math with liquidation estimates for leveraged positions.
